Privacy policy
Your video and script stay on your device.
This policy covers the teleprompter website and its Claude connector at /api/mcp. We have no accounts, no database, no analytics and no cookies.
Effective 2 November 2026
What we collect
Nothing is sent to us. The site is a set of static files. Everything it does happens inside your browser:
- Camera and microphone. Your browser asks before the page can use them. The picture and sound go into your browser's own recorder. They are never uploaded.
- Recordings. Your video is built in your browser and saved straight to your device (Downloads, Files or Photos). We never receive it.
- Your script and settings. Kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time. They never leave the device.
- API keys, only if you add one to write with your own AI account. Kept in your browser for this session, or in local storage if you tick "Remember". A key is sent only to the provider it belongs to.
When something leaves your device
Only when you ask for it:
- Write with AI. When you pick ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok or Gemini, the page opens that service in a new tab with your topic, tone and length in the prompt. From then on that service's own privacy policy applies.
- Your own API key. If you use "Write it here with my own API key", your browser sends the prompt and your key directly to the provider you chose (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek, Mistral or a URL you enter). It does not pass through us.
- Script links. A link like
/#script=…or/#z=…carries the script after the#. Browsers never send that part to a server, so we never see it. Short links from the connector (/#s=…) work differently; see below.
The Claude connector
If you add the connector to Claude or ChatGPT and ask it to open a script in the teleprompter, the AI sends the script text to /api/mcp, and the connector sends back a short link. It needs no sign-in and does not log the script.
To keep that link short, the connector encrypts the script with a new random key (AES-GCM) and stores only the encrypted copy with our database provider, Upstash, for 30 days. Then it is deleted automatically. The key is put in the link after the #, which browsers never send to a server, and the connector does not keep it. So we, and Upstash, cannot read the stored copy. Anyone you give the link to can open the script until it expires, like any shareable link.
If short links are unavailable, the connector puts the whole script in the link after the # instead, and stores nothing.
What Claude does with your conversation is covered by Anthropic's privacy policy, not this one.
Hosting
The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may keep short-lived technical logs of requests (such as IP address, browser type and the page asked for) to keep the service running and secure. These logs never include your video, your recordings or the script inside a #script= link. See Vercel's privacy policy.
The font is served from this site. We load no third-party scripts, trackers or ads.
Sharing and selling
We don't collect personal data, so we have none to share or sell. Encrypted short-link copies are held by Upstash only to serve the link.
How long data is kept
We keep nothing readable. The only thing stored on our side is the encrypted copy behind a connector short link, which is deleted after 30 days. What your browser stores stays until you delete it: clear the text on the prompter, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Recordings are files on your device, so you delete them like any other file.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them. It collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add something that collects data, such as analytics or ads, this page will say so before it goes live.
